The Point No Point Treaty Council (PNPTC) is a natural resource management organization formed in 1974 to serve the Port Gamble S'Klallam, Jamestown S'Klallam and Lower Elwha Klallam Tribes to fulfill the requirements placed upon them by the U.S. Supreme Court in U.S. v. Washington (the "Boldt Decision").  The Treaty Council confirms the reserved rights established in the 1855 Treaty of Point No Point.  It implements goals set by member Tribes for resource conservation, fisheries management and the protection of treaty fishing rights.

"We, the Tribes of the Point No Point Treaty Area, recognize the need to implement and protect the fishing rights reserved to the tribes by the Treaty.  We further recognize that our fisheries constitute a vital and irreplaceable resource for our future development, and the conservation and the enjoyment of this resource will depend upon effective and progressive management.  We believe that in the unity we can best accomplish our fishery goals, not only for the benefit of our people, but for all the people of the Puget Sound."
